Event signups with roles, right where your group already talks

Post an event in Slack, Discord or on the web, add the slots you need, and see who’s in. For a party, share one link: guests RSVP without an app or an account.

Three ways in

  • Slack

Post events in any channel. People sign up on the card, and the App Home lists what’s coming.

    Groupies for Slack
  • Discord

Run /groupies create in your server. Members tap a slot, and roles can decide who sees which calendar.

  • 🎉 Parties & events

Share one link. Guests RSVP from any phone without an app or an account, and you check them in at the door.

Use Basecamp? Groupies posts your events in a project’s Campfire and keeps its Schedule in step. Groupies for Basecamp

Made for groups that need the right people

  • Raid night

Fill the roster before the pull: two tanks, a few healers, the rest DPS.

    • Tank 2
    • Healer 3
    • DPS 15
  • Running club long runs

One post for Saturday’s long run, with a group for every pace.

    • 10K
    • 21K
    • 30K
    • Sweeper
  • Volunteer shifts

Cover every job at the event without a spreadsheet or a reply-all thread.

    • Setup 4
    • Greeter 2
    • Kitchen 3
    • Cleanup
  • Classes and race entries

A shop’s Friday baking class or a race with entry fees: put a price on each slot and people pay as they sign up.

    • Baking class $45
    • 5K $25
    • 10K $30

How it works

  1. Add Groupies

Install it in your Slack workspace or Discord server. That creates your group.

  2. Run /groupies create

Give the event a time and list the slots, with a limit on any that need one.

  3. Members tap a slot

Everyone signs up from the post itself, and the card updates for the whole channel.

One calendar for everything your group does

Month, week, day and list views, with each calendar in its own colour.

  • A multi-day event is one bar, and all-day events come first.
  • Hover a day and press + to add an event, or drag one to move it.
  • Icons show what you’re going to, might go to and follow.
  • Repeating events can run with no end date. Change just this one, this and following, or all.

Everything about an event, in one place

The event page folds into sections, and each one shows a summary. Open what you need.

  • Slots with details, plus Going, Maybe and Can’t go.
  • Up to 3 files on an event, like a map or a waiver. Each is checked by its content and only ever downloads.
  • Files are part of Plus.

Everyone’s photos in one place

After the event, people add their photos to one gallery instead of a dozen group chats.

  • Add them on the web, by scanning the QR poster, or straight from the event’s Slack thread or Discord.
  • Tap a photo to swipe through full screen. Select a few to download as a ZIP or share to your phone’s apps.
  • Location data is removed from every photo.

Drop in the whole batch

Drag photos onto the page and keep going. You can see each one’s progress and how long is left.

  • Slack and Discord work too: photos posted under an event’s card go to its gallery, and you get a link to it.
  • Photos too big to upload are scaled down in your browser first.

Know when something changes

Follow any event, calendar or group with Notify me. You hear about sign-ups, changes and new events.

  • In the bell on the web, by Slack or Discord message, or by email.
  • Prefer one message a day? Switch to the daily digest.

Invites anyone can answer

Turn on a public invite and share the link. Guests RSVP without an app or an account, bring a plus-one if you allow it, and get updates if plans change.

  • Limit the spots, or approve each guest yourself.
  • Choose whether the invite page shows who’s going, only a count, or nothing.
  • Print a QR poster so people can RSVP from the wall.

Check guests in at the door

Each guest’s confirmation email has a QR code. Scan it with your phone at the door, or find them by name, and the count updates for everyone working the door.

  • See who’s here and who’s still coming.
  • Add walk-ups on the spot.

Chip in

Members can support the group once or every month, and an event can ask for a chip-in, like $20 toward the gift. It’s always optional. Anyone chipping in can cover the card fee or stay anonymous.

  • The money goes straight to your group’s Stripe account.
  • In Slack and Discord, /groupies support posts the group’s support card, and an event’s card gets a Chip in button.

In everyone’s calendar

Subscribe to any of your group’s calendars, or all of them, from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Events show up next to everything else in your week.

  • Any calendar, or all of them

Races, long runs, the social calendar: subscribe to the ones you want. Each person gets their own link, which only shows calendars they can see and follows them if their access changes.

  • Everything you’ve signed up for

Your events puts everything you’ve signed up for, across all your groups, in one personal feed. Events you said Maybe to show as tentative.

  • Stays up to date

New events, time changes and cancellations show up on their own. Calendar apps check for updates regularly; Google can take a few hours. Changes are made in Groupies, not in your calendar app.

You can also add a single event, or download it as an .ics file. A calendar that’s open to anyone with the link can go on your own website too.

And more

  • Sign-up slots and RSVPs

Slots with limits for every role, plus Going, Maybe and Can’t go.

  • Circles

Share a calendar with just the people it’s for. In Discord, a circle can follow a server role.

  • Your own time zone

Everyone sees each event in their own zone, next to the zone it was planned in.

  • Reminders by message

People who signed up get a reminder in Slack or Discord before the event.

  • One-tap sign-in

Links in Slack and Discord messages only you can see open signed in.

  • Installable app

Add Groupies to your phone’s home screen and open it like any other app.

  • 5 languages

The website is in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

  • Your brand

A theme such as Groupies, Cherry, Rose or Amber, your own address or domain for public pages and, with Plus, your logo.

Collect payments

Charge for race entries, classes or the post-run pizza. Members pay by card or Venmo, PayPal, Cash App or Zelle when they sign up.

  • Pay the organizer

Members get one-tap Venmo, PayPal, Cash App or Zelle links with the amount filled in, then tap I’ve paid and the organizer confirms. Groupies never touches the money and takes no fee.

  • Card payments

Members pay by card through Stripe, straight into your group’s own Stripe account. Their spot is held while they pay, and refunds follow the window you set. A small Groupies fee applies.

  • In the chat or on the web

Prices show on the event card in Slack and Discord and on the web, and people pay from the same place they sign up.
